Making a Difference
The Flaherty IMPACT Foundation is dedicated to making a profound and lasting impact on the lives of children in need. Our primary focus is providing assistance to youth in need, which includes families dealing with life-threatening disease, providing financial scholarships to at-risk foster youth seeking higher education, children with developmental disabilities, and displaced and homeless children. We are committed to addressing diverse challenges and the mission to create a world where every child has the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential.

Pediatric Cancer
Since 1970, Pediatric Cancer Foundation has been raising funds for research to support doctors and hospitals in an effort to eradicate childhood cancer. About 9,620 children in the United States under the age of 15 will be diagnosed with cancer in 2024. All types of childhood cancers combined receive only 4% of the U.S. federal funding for cancer research.

Make-A-Wish
5 or more $10,000 “wishes” to be granted. The average cost of a wish to a child with a critical illness is $10,000. We have 750 Wish Kids within our local chapter that are eagerly awaiting their wishes to be fulfilled. 8 out of 10 Wish Parents report that their child's wish experience serves as a vital coping mechanism during their treatment, and that 9 out of 10 medical providers observe a significantly positive impact on a child's physical well-being and overall quality of life through these wishes.

L5 Sacramento Capital Cup
The Capital Cup is an exciting 3-day golf competition that brings together leaders from the Sacramento region. Each player competes to benefit their favorite charitable organization, giving donors the opportunity to support their favorite player or charity. The winning team's designated charities share a prize fund of $100,000, and the event has raised $13 million for the region's most deserving charities. Capital Cup adapts the historic Ryder Cup format to promote community pride and healthy competition. Last year, the Flaherty IMPACT Foundation raised $51,525, with hopes for even more in 2024.
