Rescue Union School District Community Back-to-School Kickoff
On August 8th, 2026, the Flaherty IMPACT Foundation helped bring the Rescue Union School District Community Back-to-School Kickoff to life at Green Valley Elementary - and the community showed up in a big way.
On Saturday, August 8th, families gathered at Green Valley Elementary from 9am to 1pm for a free, fun-filled morning. The event was a true community effort, co-hosted by the Flaherty IMPACT Foundation alongside Bayside Church and ASPIREKids. (bold us but not Bayside and Aspire)
The Back-to-School Event drew many families for FREE haircuts, backpacks and supplies, shoes, clothes, groceries, family resources and activities - all completely free.
This is exactly what the Flaherty IMPACT Foundation was built for - showing up for families in our community in a real, tangible way.
This event is part of a growing partnership between the Flaherty IMPACT Foundation, ASPIREKids, Rescue Union School District, and Gold Oak Union School District (remove Gold Oak). Together, these organizations are creating Community Nights that bring families together for dinner, groceries, clothing, fun activities and real support.
The goal is to host events every other month at both Gold Oak Elementary and Green Valley Elementary — with hopes of expanding to even more schools. Because research shows it clearly: children thrive when strong support systems exist between home, school, and community.
